Michelle Danielson, Counseling Intern
I am currently enrolled in Liberty University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program and plan to graduate in August 2025. During my career as a pediatrician, I recognized the important role mental health plays in a person’s overall well-being and had a desire to expand my ability to serve the community through formal education and training in the field of counseling. Although I have a passion for children and adolescents, I am eager to walk alongside any client navigating the myriad challenges life presents and hope to help them discover along the way the healthiest version of themselves. I am grateful a career in medicine offered me a solid foundation in compassionately connecting with others and gave me opportunities to recognize that healing power typically lies within the individual.
I was born and raised in eastern Montana, attended Carroll College, obtained my medical degree at the University of Nevada Reno, completed my pediatric residency in Des Moines, then ultimately returned to Helena in 2005 where I worked in a private pediatric practice for over 16 years. I left my medical practice in 2021 and served in a directorship role at an orphanage in Mexico until January of 2024. I have been married for 32 years, have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren. I find joy in cooking, being outdoors taking in everything Montana has to offer, and sharing a meal, friendship and life with others around our table.
I am eager to complete my counseling training and very excited to be under the supervision and guidance of Rebekah as I learn how to be most effective in serving others from an emotional and mental health perspective during times of difficulty.
